Hi I'm Becca

I was born in sunny California, and fell in love with a boy from Idaho. I'm a wife, teacher, life-long learner, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in sunny Southern California and drove away to Brigham Young University-Idaho in August 2006. I graduated with my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education, fell in love, got married, and started teaching all in one year. In August 2010, I married my best friend, Derek, in the San Diego California temple. We currently reside in Arizona where Derek attends medical school and I teach and tutor children. We enjoy all things outdoors- bike rides, picnics, and swimming. We have a love of travel and exploration, and absolutely love visiting our families in both California and Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because of the principles and values the gospel of Jesus Christ teaches me. I know that no matter what, I have a loving Heavenly Father who loves me no matter what. I am a Mormon because of the feeling of gratitude I feel toward my Savior, Jesus Christ, after his sacrifice in the garden for my sins and transgressions. I believe that no matter how much we struggle, we are never alone. I am a Mormon because of the scriptures, and being able to read the words of ancient prophets. I also know that we have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson who leads and guides us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example of Jesus Christ everyday. As a teacher, I am constantly around children and young adults. I have the responsibility to teach them all they will need to know in many aspects in life. I teach them to be honest, respectful, and responsible in all they do and say. I also live my faith by working with the beautiful and sweet young women in my ward. It is such a joy to watch them live their lives as true examples of Jesus Christ.
