Hi I'm Don

I grew up in Utah. My wife and I moved to Arizona over 30 years ago. I am employed as an account and I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hi my name is Don. I am a cowboy boot wearing account. My life is filled with family, model trains, farms and John Deere Tractors and accounting. My model trains pass 3 farms (all with John Deere tractors) a fishing lake and 3 Mormon Chapels. My greatest treasures are my eternal wife and family. Each Sunday evening our family meets for Sunday dinner. Then we play with my model trains, tractors and developing farm land. What a beautiful way to share with our family. I was raised on a farm and now I live in the city. As the saying goes you can take the boy off the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy. I now have a garden. I grow tomatoes, beets, carrots and all other kind of vegetables that grow in our environment. It's great to work in the garden with my family! I enjoy traveling and seeing new and interesting places. It is great to go to another place and see all the new and interesting things there. I really enjoyed traveling to Guatemala. Seeing all the ancient temples and rain forest lands and animals was outstanding.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for the peace and blessings He gives me and my family. Being a member requires me to take upon me Christ's name, to always remember Him, and keep His commandments. As I do so I feel the Holy Ghost bear witness that Jesus is the Christ and stands at the head of His church. I know and bear humble testimony that following the doctrines of the Church my wife and family will be together forever. I testify Jesus Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane and paid that awful price for my sins. He was crucified and on the third day resurrected thus breaking the bonds of death for all mankind. Being a member of His church gives me the opportunity to prove myself worthy to live with Him someday. I know my Heavenly father lives and loves me to. I am proud to take Jesus' name upon me and follow Him. By so doing I will receive that kingdom Heavenly Father has promised me and my family.

How I live my faith

The Savior said, "...in as much as ye have done it to the least of by brethren, ye have done it uto me." The Church offers its members and friends the opportunity to serve. I enjoy meeting families each month, teaching them about the Savior and helping them accomplish their goals. As we discuss different points, I can understand the families needs and desires. Knowing these desires I can be a shepard to these famlies in all ways and in all places. There are many places to serve in the Church. I have had the opportunity to officiate in executive positions, youth leadership and being a Sunday School teacher. Each assignment has brought me closer to my Savior. I have learned the power of prayer, and the reality of the atonment in my life. The Church is a intrigal part of my life. I enjoy asking people what they know about the Church and sharing my testimony. If you are looking for eternal happiness, a purpose for life, I invite you to come join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know God lives and we are all His children. Because of His great love for us He sent His only begotten Son to break the bands of sin and death. Christ lives and because He lives I to will live. I testify this is the Saviors church and we are lead by His profit. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
