Hi I'm Anna

I am married and a Mother of three awesome girls! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of three girls ages three, eight and ten...going on 16!! Have to add that my ten year old already thinks she can parent better then me! :) Anyways, my husband is a Dentist here in the area. We live in an awesome community where we know our neighbors well and our kids can play and have a bit more freedom then normally allowed these days. I am actively involved with my girls in their different hobbies such as dance, basketball, piano, tutor (not one they would choose but a must) and of course there activities and responsibilities with church. I would say that in the last couple years I have taken a liking to refinishing furniture, cabinets, and well...anything I can get my hands on! Its addicting and therapeutic for me. I have to admit that the addictive part can sometimes drive my husband a bit crazy!! I love music, although cannot play an instrument...I sing and once in a while share with others...but mostly sing for myself!! Its one of those used to do talents that I have regretfully put at the bottom of my priority list! I am very close with my parents and my siblings that all live in the area. It is so wonderful to have them close and for my girls to have such close relationships with their cousins and grandparents.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a mormon all my life. My Mother was a convert to the church when she married my Dad. I must say that growing up in the church, or for a better way of saying, grew up in the gospel, it has been a huge blessing for me. Early on I knew that I was a child of God. I knew that my family could be together forever. I also had a relationship with my Savior, Jesus Christ. By having this knowledge or testimony so to speak I was able to withstand some tough trials. Of course this did not solve them for me or even keep me from making some choices that I will always regret. What this knowledge did do for me was help me recover and heal. There is so much comfort that comes from knowing that through the atonement of Jesus Christ I could be made whole. I also have always had such a supportive family that loved me and encouraged me to be better. I had some struggles being a good example in my earlier years and to this day wish I could go back and do them over...but what keeps me from wallowing in my despair is my testimony. I know that this life is not over when we die. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me very much. I have the gift of the Holy Ghost to be with me always (a gift from our Father in Heaven through baptism) as a constant companion, a comforter to help me. I have read and believe the Book of Mormon to be true. I have prayed to my Father in Heaven and asked and he did answer me. I have felt the power of his hand in my life and know with out a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is his true and everlasting gospel here on the earth. I do believe in the power of the priesthood and in a modern day prophet to lead and guide us. My life has so much meaning and purpose and this knowledge gives me the motivation to keep going and to have joy in my life.

How I live my faith

By actively being a member of this church I have had several opportunities to serve and to learn. The organization of our church is set up in a way that all members are responsible for serving each other. I have held several different callings through out my life. Some of my favorites have been working with the youth, specifically the young women ages 12 and 13. I was in charge of teaching them a lesson every sunday. This age is so fun because they are so excited about life and have so much fun enthusiastic energy! I have also enjoyed teaching my peers. Now I am not a good teacher and have had no experience but what I can say is my own personal growth from these experiences has been remarkable in my life. Studying the lesson plans and through personal study these opportunities have given me strength in my life when I have needed it. I currently lead the music in our ward and make sure we enjoy special music from our members each week by organizing people to sing, play piano ect. I also visit teach (a program where we are assigned a few different women) with a companion..a friend and together we visit them and basically keep tabs on each other. We essentially become friends and are there to serve and help to keep each other uplifted by spiritually being there for one another and or just being a friend when needed. This is a great thing..it is so easy to be absorbed in our own lives and our bubbles that by visiting teaching we are meeting other women that are amazing and would not have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.
