Hi I'm Lesley

I'm happy and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love snowboarding. I have sever social anxiety. I sing loudly and off key. My dog is my best friend. I am a grad student and spend too much time studying and not enough time snowboarding.

Why I am a Mormon

I used to think that I'm a Mormon because my parents are Mormon. But if that were the only reason I would have left the church a long time ago. In my early twenties I had a choice to make. Was I going to commit myself to the religion I was raised in or was I going to find truth for myself? I chose to find truth for myself. I attended several different churches, I study different books of scriptures, and I prayed - a lot. In the end I found what I was looking for. It was clear to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the only place I could find the whole truth. Other churches have parts, they believe in good things and thy good do things, but they are not complete. I need to know that I am here for a purpose and that when this life ends it is not the end of me and my family. That is why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My faith is simple. I believe that I am a daughter of God, that He loves me, that He has a plan for me, and that I have a purpose on this earth. Part of that purpose is to love and care for all God's children. I live my faith by loving those around me, by providing a helping hand when needed, and by sharing my faith with others.
