Hi I'm Travis Hansen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a dad of daughter’s only…Four daughters to be exact and my oldest is almost a teenager AHHHH! So…I have decided to build a tree house for them, but little do they know that I am going to turn it into my MAN CAVE. I never would have thought 10 years ago that I would be where I am now, but I’m loving every minute of it! I am self employed; enjoy power kiting, listening to motivational improvement cd's, dancing, understanding and listening to others, snowboarding, and most of all spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

Looking back in my life there have been ups and downs, but there has always been one thing that is constant and everlasting in my life, and that is the Gospel. I know that if I follow the commandments that the Lord has given to me, He will help me be a good father, husband, and give me guidance to lead my family back to live with Him. I know that if I lead my family by the power of the Priesthood, and always seek our Fathers will, blessings will come…I have seen and experienced these blessings many times. I know that this is the true Church. I know that Joseph Smith experienced the vision of our Father and His Son. I know he was chosen to bring the Gospel to the earth at this time for the purpose of guiding us in this world today. I have felt my Heavenly Father near me in my darkest times, and I know that He hears my prayers. He loves me, and only wants the best for me. I truly believe that after this life we will live again with our families in Heaven. Having this knowledge gives me so much hope in this life that what I’m doing here, today, has a higher purpose. How grateful I am to have an eternal family. I wouldn’t want to spend my eternities with anyone other than my wife and children. Heavenly Father has blessed me with the desire to learn, and for that I am eternally grateful. The knowledge I gain here on earth is the only thing I can take with me. So I am grateful for all the learning experiences that my Father in Heaven has, and will give me pertaining to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, for this is where I can gain a higher knowledge, and understand my purpose here on earth. I know He sees in me what I have not yet seen in myself, and I feel His love and encouragement every day of my life. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I didn't have the knowledge and understanding that the gospel has given me. I'm proud to be a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by living the commandments that my Heavenly Father has given me. I know i am not perfect but I just improve each day, one step at a time. I also live my faith by staying grounded, by balancing work, family, church and hobbies. I find that as I put my relationship with my Heavenly Father first, that everything else falls into its proper place. Ways that I strengthen that relationship is by having personal prayer and scripture study time, and allowing the spirit to guide me each day in choosing the right.
