Hi I'm Eve

I love to sing. I use essential oils. I am a wife, mother, step mom, and a grandmother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a large family of seven children. I am the oldest daughter. My parents joined the church about a year before I was born. I live in the Northwestern United States with lots of trees, mountains and water nearby. It is a beautiful place to live. I love to sing and that is what I was doing when I met my husband. He sings bass and I am an alto. We have been married for four years. Between my husband and I, we have seven children. We have four grandchildren who live in another state so we travel to see their family. That is a wonderful way to spend our time. I served as a church service missionary for the Distribution Center in our area. I loved serving people who were preparing to attend the temple for the first time. I have recently discovered the joy of working with essential oils to improve the quality of life for family, friends, and me. I am embarking on a path to help as many as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS church by parents who were raised protestant and joined the church after they were married. In the area where I grew up, there were not very many Mormons at my school. People were usually misinformed and asked questions about my church. Some of the questions were very strange and did not make sense to me. I often helped them to understand our beliefs more clearly. As I did so, I was able to decide if I indeed believed what my church teaches. It was not difficult to decide that I want to be a member of the Lord's church for the rest of my life. I have been taught to believe in Jesus Christ as my savior. This knowledge helps me in all aspects of my life. His atonement gives us the opportunity to repent of past mistakes and be clean again. Jesus loves us so much. After baptism we are given the gift of the Holy Ghost to be our personal companion to help us make the best decisions. One of the things the Holy Ghost does for us is to testify of truth. So when I read in the Book of Mormon I can feel the Holy Ghost telling me that what I am reading is true. In a world where so many have no hope for what comes next, I am grateful that we have a loving Heavenly Father that helps us find our way back to him. After this life I look forward to meeting Jesus face to face. He sacrificed so much for me and for all of us. He helps me to continue strong in faith.

How I live my faith

On Sundays I go to our meeting house with my husband. We wear our best clothes to show our Heavenly Father that we respect him. My husband and I used to teach the ten year old class for a few years. That was really fun. Now I help reach out to the women who are new to our congregation or need some encouragement to get to church. We attend church to learn more about Jesus and his love for us. When we arrive home, we live our convictions there all week long. My husband and I kneel together to pray each morning and night. We say a prayer of thanksgiving before each meal. We read the Scriptures together and we read them alone too. We try to live our lives based on principles taught by Jesus. We obey the laws of the land, we are honest in our dealings, we are kind to others, we pay tithing and offerings, we love the Lord. We make mistakes, but we repent and learn to do better. We are able to do this because of the gift of the atonement. I love my husband and he loves me. We treat each other with respect and love. We attend the Lord's holy house, the temple. There we make promises to our Heavenly Father to live as he would have us do. I feel so blessed to be here on this earth. Our lives are a gift from God. I try to make the way I live my life, my gift to him.
