Hi I'm Matt

I have 2 brothers, one sister, and 8 step brothers and sisters. I'm a recent grad from Arizona State University. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just recently graduated from College and was lucky enough to get a job shortly thereafter within the business world. I look forward to the day when I can start a family. I am a big believer of variety being the spice of life. I love watching and playing sports. I love listening to and playing all different kinds of music. I can sort of play the acoustic guitar and would love to learn how to play a drum set. I love going out to the desert with friends and doing things like riding quads. I enjoy lifting weights in order to keep my body in shape. The things I enjoy doing now will not necessarily be same as what I will do a few months from now. I like to mix it up whenever possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I continue to practice my faith today because I have studied it, prayed about it, preached it, and found it to be true and bring happiness at the same time. There have been times when I struggled to live all the teachings, and I have always found myself to be happier once I begin to focus on getting my life back in line with the gospel of Jesus Christ. The only way to know if something is true or not is to really experience it. The teachings of our church are no different. Its the same way that we learn that eating healthier makes us feel better or that running helps us to lose weight. By doing it. In the Bible Jesus teaches us that a person that does the Father's will and keeps His commandments will know of the truth of that particular doctrine or belief (John 7:17). I submit that the best way to know if what our church teaches is true is to experiment with the teachings and practice what is being taught.

How I live my faith

I try to live the teachings as best as I can, and I am far from perfect. I act as a secretary for our organization of men in my area and assist in achieving our goals as we reach out to help the other brothers and sisters in the area. Although my task is not particularly too demanding, I still sometimes fail to fulfill all of my responsibilities. But I do the best I can with opportunities to serve that God gives to me. I love to share what I know about the gospel whenever I have the chance. I enjoy talking about it, but I also try to respect others and avoid being pushy or "preachy".
