Hi I'm Brett

I am an IT professional, a proud father of four, and a lover of the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

As a college student eleven years ago, I met the love of my life. We married and now have four beautiful children. We enjoy spending time together camping, riding bikes, boating, or just playing in the backyard. When I find some spare time, I also love to run, hike, bike, snow ski and SCUBA dive ... basically anything that puts me in the outdoors. I also enjoy the challenge of my professional life. I have worked as an IT professional since graduating from college, focusing on information security, networking, systems engineering and new technology introduction.

Why I am a Mormon

As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I have come to know and love Jesus Christ. I know that he suffered and died for me. I want to be more like him. Some days are not easy, but this church has helped me stay on the right path. It has helped me find the path by teaching me about where I come from, why I am here on this earth, where I can go and how I can get there. I am thankful for this perspective, and I am thankful for the happiness I find as a member of this church.

How I live my faith

I try to do my best each day to be honest, friendly and ready to serve. I enjoy the opportunity to work with 14 and 15-year-old young men as a boy scout leader. It gives me the opportunity to mentor and help these young men reach for their potential ... a small repayment for the individuals that made a difference in my life as I was growing up. We each have a Heavenly Father who loves us, and I try to help others feel that love in their own lives.
