Hi I'm Jerrae

I'm a wife and mother, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of two adorable young kids who are my world. I would say they take up much of my time, but when I'm able to fit it in, I love to decorate my house. I could paint and re-paint my bedroom monthly if time would allow. I believe meeting and making new friends is one of life's sweetest gifts. When you have a network of good people behind you it makes the trials in life easier to bear. I truly believe there are angels among us. I am a lover of all things food and am never one to skip dessert! Life's to short to not eat a brownie topped with ice cream. I have lived in the city my whole life and would definitely say I'm a city girl. That being said, I have a dream of one day living out in the country with me, my family and a couple chickens. I would love to live off the land and just be. I love being girl. At 5'9" I don't need to wear heels but I love them. Except at the park or grocery shopping those are flip flop affairs.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know it's true. I had lived the gospel my whole life and could no longer live off of my parents beliefs. I had to find out for myself. I prayed and I received an answer. It's true. I know what it feels like to feel the Holy Spirit. I feel that spirit every time I hear a prophet speak. I loved our late Prophet President Hinckley. His voice conjures up the best of feelings and cannot help but get teary eyed. I know that the current Prophet, President Monson, is also true Prophet. When I hear him, the little hairs on my neck stand up and it's as if they're all singing, "It's true, It's true!" I am a Mormon because it has given me a personal relationship with my savior Jesus Christ. I KNOW he lives. I KNOW he died for me. I try to make good choices but when I fail, I am thankful beyond words he has given me the gift of repentance through His atonement. I feel by being a Mormon it makes sense of this crazy life. Bad things happen but my life has meaning. The supreme being of the Universe is in charge and the only thing I can give him is my will.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by devoting my life to being a mom. I know that these little children are not mine, they are Heavenly Father's! I know that what I'm doing may not be the most glamorous thing in the world but I know its the best thing I could possibly be doing. My mom was a great mother and I was lucky for it. In high school I had one on the mean girls say, "You must have, like, one of those "mommy moms"?" Trust me she wasn't saying it was a good thing, but I took it to be one. I know that raising up a righteous, good, law abiding citizen, ready to contribute to the world is of the up most importance. When you know who you are (a child of God) nothing can bring you down for too long. I love being a mom and walking around with peanut butter and jelly on my shirt. I love the sass of my little girl. I get so much joy from my rule-stickler son. I want them to know that their mother knew and lived the gospel and tried her very best. Some day I want them to be able to say, "Sure did, I had a mommy mom!".
