Hi I'm Julie

I am a wife and mother of six. I am a violin teacher and a tri-athlete. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to observe the beauty of the world we live in and find joy in the simple acts of kindness and inspiration given through others. I like to observe nature with my children, like the miracle of a newly formed monarch butterfly just out of its chrysalis. I feel the Lords love for His children and me when I observe the details of nature and their wonder and beauty. I love the outdoors! Whether playing with my kids, working in the garden, biking, running or swimming together it brings peace and strength. Playing my violin or singing with the choir also bring these feelings of inspiration and peace. Seeing the kind act of another person to one in need gives me strength. Being an instrument in the Lords hand to help another in need, brings me joy!

Why I am a Mormon

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Lords kingdom here on the earth. I have been blessed to be born into the church. My testimony that this is the Lords work has grown over time. As a child I was nurtured and taught of my Savior. I felt from an early age that I am a divine daughter of God and the Lord has a special work for me to do. As I followed the council of my parents and leaders of the church I realized that I was happier. As I have tried to live more worthy of the Lords love and moved forward with faith and obedience, the Lord has given me wonderful opportunities to help others grow and in turn you grow right along with them. It's the miracle of service. Obedience brings blessings of greater spiritual knowledge and strength and peace. The words of the prophets and apostles of these latter days and other leaders of the church have blessed my life. I can feel the guiding hand of the Lord through their words. Often the very thing I have struggled with, will be taught and answers come during church meetings and General Conference. As I listen, I feel the confirming voice of the spirit tell me that what they say is true. The words of the prophets of old(the scriptures) also teach me of the will of the Lord. I have learned much from the study of the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price together. Through consistent study I have been blessed with strength and inspiration to overcome the temptations of the world. I also find answers to life's challenges and inspiration in my callings and work. I know these scriptures are the word of the Lord. I love the My Savior and Redeemer and want to do his will for me, because I know He loves me and all of our Heavenly Fathers children. His love is powerful and can be felt in quiet moments of contemplation. It is a powerful strength that can change your life. I know he lives and leads His church through a living prophet today.

How I live my faith

I love my home to be a place of order, but with six children order takes on new meaning some days. I try to be at my children's events and help with home work when needed and volunteer at school weekly, so laundry at times has to wait. But, I never regret being there for my children. It always makes me happy to help them feel loved. I love to share my talent of music with others. I have been teaching violin for 14 years. It is neat to see a student learn something new and see how happy they are that they accomplished it. I love to sing with the ward choir or with small groups. The spirit of the Lord is felt so readily through good music. Our lives can ring true to the spirit of the Lord as we turn to the Lord in prayer and humility daily. Many songs can be sung with a prayer in the heart. I know the Lord hears these prayers. Serving the youth and primary children has been very rewarding. I have taught lessons or planned activities and helped carry them out for almost 20 years. As you work with these youth you realize they are strong, talented, spiritual , happy and fun people that the Lord has saved for these last days before his second coming. You can see their potential and begin to feel the love the Lord has for them. I feel His trust in them, even in these hard times. We must not let the Lord or his youth down. We can do our part to teach, live an exemplary life and give time to the children here on the earth. Every person has a talent they can develop and share. I've learned you should not waste what you have been given to share with others. Some days that means just giving a friendly smile and a listening ear to one of Gods children. We must believe in ourselves and trust the Lord will help us where we lack.
