Hi I'm Graeme

I sing, I dance, I find joy along the way, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Singer/Dancer/Actor. One of the greatest achievements in my life would be Achieving TOP 6 in the first Season of Australia's "So You Think You Can Dance" in 2008. An opportunity for me live my dream. Since then I have served a Fulltime Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wellington New Zealand. My professional career began at the age of 12, when I landed the role of "Dipper" in the International Musical "Oliver" in 2002. I have trained in singing, dancing & acting since I was a young boy. Music to me feeds my soul. I know that i was born in this world to share the talents of music, dance and poetry in all forms of art. I thoroughly enjoy communicating with people and see my future being full of discovery, culture appreciation and always challenging myself to take greater risks. I am the youngest of three children to amazing Parents whom I love dearly. I feel I have put a lot of weight upon my own shoulders the more I grow up as I find my future to be quite an important part of my daily choices. I desire nothing but eternal happiness for this life and beyond, not only for myself but for my children and the generations that will follow. I have come to realise in many ways how great the talents I have been blessed with and the way in which they bring comfort, answers, joy, and peace to others. This is the reason why I perform, to see other's heart's pierced with the love of God.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because I know this is the true Church of Jesus Christ in these Latter Days. By exercising my Faith I have gained a greater testimony of Jesus Christ, his life, his earthly mission and his eternal purpose for me personally and of course for the entire world. As I read the Book of Mormon and cross reference with scriptures in the Holy Bible, my entire life's purpose is unfolded to me. I know that God lives and that he speaks to man in these days. I know that he reveals truth to us through Prophets (scriptures) and living day Prophets. As I prayed about Joseph Smith and his First Vision, I have been reassured continuously throughout my life of his testimonies truth. By knowing this truth brings evidence that the Book of Mormon is true. Alongside praying for truth, I have lived the principals and laws taught within the Book of Mormon and have inherited nothing less than peace, comfort, cleansing and eternal joy that i know a normal man couldn't experience had he not accepted and lived the truths within the book. I am a Mormon because it is the will of God for me to be so. I receive nothing but answers to life, and blessings continuously as I live the teachings. I can only ever encourage and endorse such a challenge to all mankind to follow what i have done to find this surety.

How I live my faith

I have always felt that ACTIVITY in any organisation/product, etc, is a means to success. As I STUDY my scriptures EVERYDAY, yes EVERYDAY, I am filled with greater knowledge. Answers to lifes trials and questions that i have are ALWAYS revealed unto me. As I communicate with our Eternal Heavenly Father through PRAYER I know that I am strengthened. I feel God's Love and comfort upon me every time I PRAY. Prayer to me is CRUCIAL in life. It allows me to report back to Heavenly Father what is taking a toll in my life, what I need help with, and then also to offer gratitude for what blessings I acknowledge and recognise have been given me. I have taught an early morning (6am-7am) Youth Bible Studies Class for the past year, Mon-Fri. I have gained so much knowledge and spiritual strength by doing so. When I was at the ages of 14-17, I did the same four year course and am very grateful the opportunity was given me to do so. My assignments and responsibilities in my Faith have seen me to organise youth and young adult activities, conferences, etc. This includes delegating speaking assignments, arrangements of food, booking of venues, and the general agenda producing. I enjoy doing so as it helps me in the organisation and living of my day to day life. Observing to attend church EVERY SUNDAY is a MUST for me personally. I trust in the programs of my Faith as Sabbath Day Observance is a school of spirituality for me. To set aside the world for a day brings great inner peace, and allows me greater quality time with my family and our Heavenly Father. Repentance is a great way to live life. As I repent daily of the weaknesses and mistakes I have made, I know I am cleansed from guilt, from pain, from uncertainty and I become more driven to succeed as nothing is holding me back.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Graeme
As commanded and outlined very earlier on in the Holy Bible, the offerings of Tithing are easily seen in the eyes of the world as "donation to the priests". Tithing (giving of ten percent of ones income/increase) is not a matter of dollar but of gratitude and obedience. I give ten percent of my income/increase, because I know the blessings that are promised me will come to pass. Malachi 3:8-10 has been a scripture that my family and I have taken to much petition and testing with our Heavenly Father and have in return been blessed more then we could imagine, and this is due to our heart's giving for purposes of obedience and not just to so called "test the Lord". He will always provide for us, financially, temporally, spiritually, eternally, and so on. By offering my FULL TITHE I am grounded, reminded internally of what I have and where it came from, Pride of money and worldly possessions do not become my focus, I have food to eat, and I am happily assisting the programs of the church to stay in function, and as a result, many, many, many people benefit. Tithing is not about money- It is about consecrating what we have as a human race together to see our neighbours inherit the greatest of joys ever attainable in this life - The understanding that god lives, that jesus Christ is the Savior of the World, and that his church has been restored upon the earth today. All commandments in the scriptures lead us to God and his eternal purposes for us. Show more Show less
