Hi I'm Kirstin

I'm an artist. I'm a mother. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated college with a BS in Socio-Cultural Anthropology and a minor Visual Arts. Both fields have helped enrich my life experiences as I have explored the world through travel and art. I am married now with 3 children and my life feels full and happy. I enjoy reading, painting, exercising, movies, and family time.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of my Savior Jesus Christ really began when I was a teenager and attended Seminary. I studied the scriptures (both Bible and Book of Mormon) and truly sought to know for myself if the things I had been taught since a child were true. Indeed, as I prayed and studied my heart swelled with the Spirit. Over and over I felt the Savior's love for me, as well as the Holy Ghost testify that the doctrine I studied was true. Since then, I pray and study daily. I continue to learn and challenge my knowledge and my testimony. God is a truly loving and merciful God. He has answered my prayers over and over. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and I know that through Him I can find forgiveness, joy and peace. He speaks to His servants, the prophets, today; and I know that as I listen, I can hear God's word for me and for our day. I am a Mormon for many reasons, but above them all I am a Mormon because I have sought out truth, and I have found it.

How I live my faith

Living my faith means trying hard to be more like the Savior. Every principle I learn and practice is rooted in that one doctrine. I pray. I study. I serve others. I try to be a good mother, wife, and neighbor. I do the best I can, and then try a little harder the next day. I make mistakes--A LOT. But, I find comfort knowing that I have a loving Savior who makes repentance possible, and a loving God who doesn't expect me to run faster than I am able.
