Hi I'm Jordan

I grew up in Utah. I am currently serving a mission in the Philippines and can speak 3 languages. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was Born 3 weeks late and weighing nearly 12 pounds... at home! My family moved to Utah where I became highly interested in the singing and the theater arts. I've performed in a number of musicals and plays in elementary school, junior high school, high school, community theaters, semi-professional theaters and college. My family moved while I was a sophomore in high-school and I ended up going to a small private high-school. I was gained an interest in sports and played basketball and soccer my junior and senior year, my senior year being elected team captain on the basketball team. I was able to serve as student body president and after graduating went to college for a year before serving a mission for the church. I'm currently serving in the Philippines and loving every minute of it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born 1n 1990 to loving parents. They both were converts to the church 2 years before I was born. I was the first in my family to be born into the church. My parents taught me well and I grew up going to church and reading the scriptures. I was very blessed to know of the restored gospel from the beginning. Even though this is the case, it doesn't mean I just am a member because my parents were. That isn't the case. I always felt good at church and I remember a number of times in my life that I have asked my Heavenly Father if this church really was true and if Joseph Smith was really a prophet of God. Every time I ask I get a very warm feeling and I KNOW that it is true. I love the feeling so much that I still ask sometimes, just so I can feel that warmth and be reassured again that what I am doing is right. I've met thousands of people from tens of different religions over my time in the Philippines and I have watched them get that feeling as well. I love it! That's why I am member.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission for the church in the Philippines. My responsibility right now is that of a zone leader. Me and my companion are in charge of 24 missionaries across the an entire province on the island of Central Luzon. We help make sure that they are all healthy, working hard, and teaching as much as possible. Besides these responsibilities we go out each day and talk to up to 100 different people each week about the restoration of the gospel, teach all who are interested, and baptize any who receive a witness from the Holy Ghost that what we have been teaching them is true. I love it!
