Hi I'm Jessica

Born and raised in Washington. I love to sing, dance, and act! I am studying to become a Psychologist for the Deaf.

About Me

I love participating in sports- basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, dance, track. You name it! I also enjoy singing. I have sang basically my whole life. I never did start taking lessons until high school, though. I love school! I have always had a love for learning and gaining new knowledge. I attended Brigham Young University in Hawaii, majoring in Psychology. I plan to eventually go to Gallaudet University for Grad School and become a Psychologist for the Deaf. I absolutely love sign language and love the Deaf community and culture. I would not be the same person I am today if it wasn't for my friends. I lean on them and they help me get through the toughest parts in my life. They help me become a stronger, better person. I help my friends as well with my contagious laugh and smile. After Grad School, I will have my own practice at my home to counsel the general public, as well as the Deaf community. I have always dreamed of having a family, of being a wife and a mother of 4-6 kids.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon for many different reasons. Growing up, I have noticed a difference between my life and others'. Part of my family is not Mormon. I look at them, and at myself, and see how their life could be. I know who I am, and I know where I'm going. Having the Gospel in my life has helped me to know this. I know that I am a Child of God, and that He loves me, and every other person. This faith helps me to understand more. I don't just go on and pass each day by. I knwo that each day is important, and to make the best of it. I knwo that helping someone out, the simplist of things, can really make their day brighter. I know that Heavenly Father listens and answers my prayers. And I know that He will help me to do the right thing. Putting trust in God can only bring out the best. I know that there is no foul in knowing that He will make everything how it should be. I know without a doubt in my mind that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the one and only true church on the world today. And I know that through the Atonement, we will all live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being an example to those I encounter. Just having a positive attitude and a smile on my face shows what I believe. By dressing modestly and always having good language helps others to know of my values. I am a role model to the younger girls at church. I help and teach them, to keep them on the correct path. By setting an example for them, they know what to reach for. I am also called to help bring in the less active members of the church. I do this by befriending them and showing that I care, because I truly do. Those around me all know that I am Mormon; this is due to my thoughts, words, and actions. There is no question that I have the Light of Christ. The Gospel in my life helps me to become all that I can be.
