Hi I'm Brandon

I'm a husband, a dad, a teacher, a musician, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my family. I have an amazing wife and two beautiful kids. They are the most important part of my life. One of our favorite activities is going to the Colorado River and doing water sports and playing in the River all day long. We are a musical family who enjoys singing and playing the piano together. We lived in New York City for two years while I attended Juilliard for graduate school. We grew a lot in New York, and created with so many incredible memories and friendships while we lived there. Now we live in the great state of Arizona. I conduct choirs and orchestra in the community, and I also teach piano and voice lessons. I enjoy epic movies with great soundtracks, and I also enjoy country music. When I get the time, I enjoy swimming at the gym.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew up in southern California and had many friends of various faiths. They all knew that I was Mormon, and we had fun attending Mormon activities together such as dances, youth trips, and musical productions. My parents led by example, and encouraged me to find out for myself if Jesus Christ was my Savior, and if the Book of Mormon and Bible were the words of God. As a teenage boy, I knelt down several times and prayed to God to know if these things were true. Ever since these personal moments in prayer I developed a deeply personal conviction and testimony that this is Jesus Christ's true and living church on the earth today. What I love most about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that anyone can know if it is the Lord's true church by praying and asking for themselves. It is comforting to me that I am a Mormon not just because my parents raised me as a Mormon, but also because I have received my own personal witness and answers through study and prayer.

How I live my faith

In our family we try our best to have daily family prayer and scripture study. We attend church each Sunday morning, and once a month I teach a Gospel Principles class to a group of dads and husbands in our congregation. I enjoy teaching and discussing Jesus Christ and His gospel. I learn a lot from the other dads and husbands in the group, and it provides great friendship and support as we help one another through our trials and struggles. My wife and I end each day with a prayer together before we go to bed. This helps us work through trials in our marriage, struggles with parenting, and keeps our family focused on God.
