Hi I'm Samantha Allen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife to one incredible man and a mother to four amazing children. I have a degree in Elementary Education and I love teaching. While I was student teaching I was pregnant with my first child. I received many job offers. It was flattering to think that I was wanted and needed in the classroom. However, after I had my first child I knew that I wanted and was needed more at home. I love being HOME. I love to sew dresses for my little girls, play legos with my boys, bake bread, bottle raspberry jam and peaches, and make wreathes for my front door. I don't mind laundry, ironing, vacuuming or dusting. I love the times when I can gaze at my sleeping children or hear the loud laughter of children on the trampoline. Not one day is the same in the life of a mom, but each day is joyful especially with children laughing in the background.

Why I am a Mormon

In the world, motherhood is not something to aspire to. To our Heavenly Father, it means everything to have each one of His daughters bring children into loving homes where a father and a mother love and care for His children. The gospel brings meaning, purpose, and direction to my life. When times are tough and my shirt is messy from holding a sick baby, I know that He is always near. He knows I am trying my best, and He loves me. I am not “just” a mom. I AM a mother and what I do matters to Him.

How I live my faith

All of us need a friend, someone we can go to in times of joy and sorrow. Each woman needs a friend, someone they can rejoice with when a new baby arrives and someone they can mourn with when trials try the soul. I have two dear friends, members in my congregation, that I go to each month and minister to. I love the time that we spend together, teaching one another, and strengthening each other. Each of us is a stay at home mother. We understand each other, left each other up, and strengthen each other when we are weak. It is the greatest opportunity to give service to dear friends. When I am serving these dear friends, I am serving Jesus Christ. I am loving as He would love, mourning as He would mourn, and strengthening as He would strengthen. I want to be like Him. Serving my friends is one way that I can become like Jesus Christ.
