Hi I'm Lindsey

I am a mother of 2 beautiful daughters and have a wonderful husband. I am a Colorado native and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have a been married to my wonderful husband and best friend for 6 years we met almost 11 years ago just before I graduated high school and have been together ever since. We now have 2 sweet and beautiful daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats, two guinea pigs, 2 hermit crabs and 2 frogs! I always feel like we are living on Noah's Ark! I have always had a love for animals and before kids worked full time at a vet clinic as a vet tech/receptionist. Since kids I have cut back on working at the clinic but still try to squeeze in a few hours now and then when I have time. My husband is very busy with a full time job and as a volunteer firefighter, He is now also going through fire academy so my free time is limited but hope to work more once things slow down a bit and the girls start school!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up with not a whole lot of religion in the home but we did attend church every now and then. I've always believed in Christ and God. When I met my husband he was a fairly new member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so I was introduced to the church through him. Growing up I also had some friends that were LDS and I attended church with them a handful of times as well. Five years after knowing my husband and just 5 months after getting married I finally realized that I knew the truth of the church and finally made a the decision to be baptized in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Being the only one in my family this was a very hard decision to make. I feared the rejection and disappointment from my family. I realized that if I follow what I know to be true everything would workout. And it did! My family didn't disown me and the have been there for my through it all. This has been one of the best decisions I have made. I love my family so much and I love how the church is centered around the family. I LOVE knowing that my family can be together FOREVER. I have gained a strong testimony of the church and of Jesus Christ over the past 6 years. I know Jesus is our savior and that our Heavenly Father knows and loves each of us. I know that we will all have trials but if we have faith and trust in the Lord things will work out. Our Father knows each of us individually and won't give us anything that we can't endure. If we can have faith and endure to the end we will live again with our Heavenly Father and our savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I serve in the church by helping to organize spiritually up lifting events for women. These events are open the the women of the church as well as women that are not members. We plan meetings that will help straighten our testimonies and help us to become better women at home, in the community and in church. We also plan service projects for the community. I have also been asked to teach one Sunday a month in one of our Sunday school classes. This has been a great blessing for me. It has helped me gain a stronger testimony and helped me to study the gospel of Jesus Christ more regularly. I love the many opportunities that I have had to serve not only in the church but also in the community.
