Hi I'm Ashley Hathcock

I grew up in Arizona. Music is my soul. I have sung and danced in China. I am a daughter, aunt and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Arizona and I am going to school and have several classes with my mom. How many people can say that? I love learning and have fun figuring out new things. I am focusing on two areas of study, nursing and sports medicine. I love helping others. I have served a mission in Tennessee and Georgia and grew to love the people there. I love my siblings and am a proud aunt of an adorable niece. I play the piano, I sing and dance and feel music in my soul. My favorite season is the fall and I love to bake and feed people. I try to get outdoors as much as I can and I am an avid reader.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church my whole life. I was baptized at the age of 8 and have always loved going to church each week. I went to Seminary all through high school and have very much appreciated having Institute to continue learning. I grew up with great examples in my parents. I don't mean to say that they were perfect, but they are great examples of endurance and overcoming obstacles and faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. No one is perfect and that is one thing I love the most. All are welcome, and no matter what happened in your past, you can come and feel peace and comfort while surrounded by those who share the desires to worship our Father in Heaven and His son, Jesus Christ. I have searched out the truths found here for myself and know them to be true, beyond the shadow of a doubt. It took time to search it out and it continues to take effort to keep that faith. I have felt the love of our Father in Heaven in dark moments when I felt I had no one to turn to, and have felt that continuing love when I am surrounded by my family and friends. I feel the confirming power of the Spirit when the belief that we have is turned into pure knowledge of truth. I had a great desire to share these truths with my fellow brothers and sisters. I prepared and served a full-time mission in the South. I was able each day to share my love of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with those I met. I know it's true and it is who I am. I am a daughter of God.

How I live my faith

I love my ward! There are so many wonderful people that I am honored to work with. I do hold several callings including choir director and as a ward missionary and visiting teacher. I love helping out in any way that I can. Being in a single's ward is rather different from a family ward, but I feel that there is a place for everyone. I have made so many great friends who are all striving towards similar goals. We help strengthen each other and we build each other up.
