Hi I'm Joel

I'm a Mormon. Hi my name is Joel Carnline, I'm a father of eight beautiful children, I'm a nurse, I'm a veteran of foreign wars.

About Me

I come from a family of five brothers and three sisters. I have been married for twenty eight years to my first date and we have eight beautiful children and four grandchildren. I served in the us army for nine and a half years during desert storm. I have been in the medical field since 1985, first as an infantry medic then went back to school to be a nurse because of my love for helping people. I am a very big people person, just ask my children. they always complain that when we go shopping it takes us longer because I know everyone in the store. My beautiful wife and I started dating before I left for my mission in the St. Louis Missouri mission. We lived 21 miles apart but in the same Stake so we would only see each other at dances. She wrote me my whole mission and when I was coming home i had doubts as to how would this all work out but the spirit let me know the minute I saw her at the airport she was the one for me. She is truly my sweetheart and my eternal mate. We have four grandchildren that are a joy to us because I get to spoil them and send them home.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. I am the sixth child of eight and had to learn to hold my own quickly in life. My father was a convert, and to him the greatest accomplishment in life was to be a great father to his children. I was too young to remember when we were brought out from the nursery to be sealed with my family but they said that we looked like angels. I am grateful for eternal families. Growing up in the church I have had many different opportunities to serve others and see the workings of the priesthood. I served a mission in the Missouri St. Louis mission where I had many experiences to help my testimony grow. It was my pleasure to see peoples lives become brighter with the joy that the gospel brought to them. I know that we are led by a true prophet and when he speaks he speaks with the power of God.

How I live my faith

I try to live my life so that others may see the joy that the Gospel has brought into my life. I know that others watch what we do in most circumstances and so I try to make decisions as if the Savior was at my side. I wear a CTR ring and that has raised many conversations at work, it has also been a feeling of security for members that need assistance.
