Hi I'm Natalie

I am a stay at home mother of 4. Our youngest of which was recently adopted from China. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of 4 kids. It isn't an easy job, but it is something I have always wanted to be. When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be a mom, I looked forward to that day. It wasn't an easy thing to have kids, they didn't come without help, so when they did come to us, I was very excited and felt blessed. Our youngest we just adopted from China after waiting almost 4 years. She completes our family. I love to be outside on nice days. I like to go for long walks and run. I love to ride my bike with my kids also. I am in a book club and love to read good books. My favorite are fantasy, historical fiction, and everything by Jane Austen. I haven't done amazing things in my life by the worlds terms, but I feel that I am accomplishing the goals that I have set for myself. I finished some college, with the thought of going back someday soon. I fulfilled a full time mission, married a great guy who loves me and our kids, and though life isn't perfect, life is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, both my parents are members and have been their whole life also. I felt though that I needed to know for myself that the things I was being taught were true. I had friends growing up that were different faiths, in fact most of my friends were. My best friend however went to church with me. We talked a lot. I talked with all my friends. I wanted to know what they believed. I saw as we all grew up the lifestyles that they were having and the lifestyle that I wanted. I started to want to know for myself when I was in high school. I prayed, studied and fasted to know for myself. I still need to pray, study, and fast to help myself stay strong. I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ, I believe He came to this earth and lived and died for me as well as for everyone. I believe that we all can be forgiven of our mistakes and weaknesses. I am a Mormon because I know that when we die there is more to life! We can live again with our families and with our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a good friend to those around me. I teach the youth 12-13 year old Sunday school class. I really enjoy teaching them. The youth are full of life and still eager to learn even though they try to hide it. Living my faith is more than saying I am a Mormon, or just going to church, it is trying hard to do what Jesus would do everyday and in every situation. When I study the scriptures, the words of the living prophets, and pray to our Heavenly Father, I understand more how important it is to let us all go out into the world. I teach my kids that it is important to be friendly with everyone no matter what faith they are.
