Hi I'm Brent

I'm a father, a husband, I work in the automotive industry, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy spending time with my wife and children, reading, exercising, watching good wholesome movies, and giving service to others. I graduated from college with a dual major in Spanish and International Relations, and work as a general manager of a luxury car dealership.

Why I am a Mormon

I chose to become a Mormon at the early age of eight years old. I had the privilege of attending two different churches and noticed that when I attended the Mormon church, I felt something whole and true. My faith and testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ grew and grew as I got older. My mother was especially instrumental in my spiritual growth, as she was a convert to the Church. I will never forget her bearing her testimony to me and the happy feelings I felt as she would read the Book of Mormon to us and take us to church on Sundays. I also know that people of other faiths are good people who strive to follow Christ. It is a great blessing to have the entire puzzle of truth necessary for our eternal salvation, rather than just bits and pieces. As I strive to make Jesus Christ the center of my life and the focus of my purpose in life, I find happiness and strength in facing the daily challenges and requirements that are part of our existence. I find such great joy in knowing that God speaks to us individually through is holy spirit, and that God leads and directs his church through a modern day living prophet. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer. He loves each one of us and has made it possible for us to return to live forever with Him and our families when this mortal journey comes to an end. I have not lived without trial and tribulation, which serve to help us become better and stronger, not bitter and weaker. God loves everyone equally. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ gives us a fullness of truth and joy when we follow its teachings. The Book of Mormon, restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, authority of the priesthood, divine revelation given to prophets in our day, and necessary ordinances and principles of the gospel, are all anchors or cornerstones that form the foundation of my faith and testimony. This testimony has come little by little through the gentle voice of the spirit to my soul.

How I live my faith

I enjoy serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I am a Sunday School teacher for the youth in my ward and look forward to meeting with them every week. I also serve as a home teacher and love to visit the families I have been called to serve. You will always have something to do in the Church. It is wonderful to participate in service projects such as helping people in the neighborhood, helping out at the Church cannery, cleaning our ward building with my family, or putting up flags with the Boy Scouts. Service to my fellow beings is the same as service to my God, which brings joy and peace of mind to me and my family.
