Hi I'm Leah

I'm an avid reader, a cooking and baking enthusiast. I love music, Disneyland, anything vintage, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a 29-year-old native Arizonan. It takes a lot of patience to live in Arizona; you have to wait through months and months of stifling heat for the wonderful winter weather, but it's worth it, especially when the orange blossoms are in bloom. I'm married to a wonderful man. He's thoughtful and kind, and so creative. We have one little boy and he is the cutest, sweetest baby boy ever in our (obviously biased) opinion. We live on a 40 acre orange grove in Mesa and we enjoy the perks of farm living while still being inside a large city. Someday, I hope to have my own farm with goats, chickens, flower and vegetable gardens, a big white farmhouse with a wraparound porch, lots of trees, and a jersey cow to top it off. In my spare time, which is precious little these days, I like to read, bake, clean, try my hand at interior decorating, travel, and find some DIY project that doesn't look too daunting to attempt. I love to spend time with my husband and son and I find those times are when I'm my happiest and most content. I honestly love the small, but abundnant joys that come with my simple, routine life.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church. Both my parents and their families had been members for many generations and I was one of many descendants born as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I choose to be a Mormon because I know it's true. There was a time that I had to decide for myself what I truly believed. The decision was a simple one for me; I knew and still know that this church is the best thing I've ever been a part of. I feel so at peace with my life and with myself when I keep the commandments of my Heavenly Father. I know I have a Savior in Jesus Christ, and that he loves me so much that he died for me and the rest of humanity. I'm a Mormon because I can feel the love from my Heavenly Father and from Jesus, and I'm inspired to be a better person.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be better everyday. I listen for the guidance that comes from God and I try to reflect the light and love from Jesus in my actions towards others. Kindness and compassion are the easiest ways to let the people around you- be they strangers, friends, or loved ones- know that Heavenly Father and the Savior, Jesus Christ love them.
