Hi I'm Moroni Mejia

I'm originally and grew up in Puebla, Mexico. I came to the US with my family in 1978. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a happy husband and father of six children and grandfather of 15 grand-kids. I enjoy my profession in the education field and love to involve myself in sports specially basketball and volleyball. I also enjoy being a referee for these sports. At school, a great satisfaction is to help students in academic need and see them succeed. I'm a true and firm believer that the field of education is not just a job but a calling. Great teachers have influenced my life and I hope I have done my part on the life of some of my students. Presently I work as a librarian and find great joy in working with children kinder to eight grade. Lately my wife and I have discover the joy of working and helping others find their Family history. Knowing who you are and where you come from can give your to existence in this world a very positive focus.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned the gospel in my child hood in part from my parents and great parents as well as dedicated teachers from the church. As I grew up and in my teen years I seek to gain my own testimony of the church. As I served a mission for the church, a confirmation and reassurance came to me of the truthfulness of the gospel and of the divinity of our Lord and Savior. I can not express with words the feeling of gratitud for the great redeeming sacrifice of our Lord and the opportunity that this gives each son and daughter of our Heavenly Father to come to this earth progress to another satage in our existance and return to Him. I know without a doubt that the Lord leads this church through prophets and a well organized group of voluntary leaders. I know that the Savior came to hearth to redeem us and to show us the way to return safely to our heavenly parents. I'm greatful for the Plan of Happiness! In the midst of so much trouble, stress, crime, violence, economic failures and addictions, it is posible to find true happiness as we follow this plan to conquer all these obstacles.

How I live my faith

Because of my faith in the Lord and the so many blessings He has given me, my wife and I accepted the challenge of serving a mission in the Dominican Republic. During 18 months we dedicated our time entirely to help members work with their family history. This brought so many satisfactions, allowed us to make many friends and gave us the joy of serving the Lord as we served and helped others. We continue to work with family history. We Love Family History!!!
