Hi I'm Karen

I've been a wife for 37 years, the mother of 3 boys, and the grandmother of 10 grandchildren. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Karen and I'm a wife, mom, grandma and a Mormon! My family and the gospel have been the most important part of my life, always. I have a teaching degree, but decided to be a stay-at-home mom until my children were raised. I love to play the harp, quilt, garden, cook and our family enjoys horses and being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because through the teaching of the Church I know that I have a Heavenly Father who loves me and that I am His daughter. I know that Jesus is the Christ and my Savior. This church teaches more fully who Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are and what our relationship to them is. Those truths are extremely important to me and increase my happiness and peace. The Book of Mormon is a wonderful help to me in my life. I have always served in the Church, whatever I've been asked to do, and that service has helped me become a better person. I've grown in many ways and felt my Heavenly Father directing me and guiding me. We have a beautiful little grand-daughter that died two years ago when she was only 16 months old. As painful as it has been to not have her with us now, we know that she lives and we will see her again. We know that families can be together forever, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ died so that we can live again after we die. He made it possible for us to repent of the things we do wrong--so that we can be clean. He made it possible for families to stay together throughout eternity. What could be more important?

How I live my faith

Currently I teach the children on Sundays and plan activities for the elementary age girls during the week. I love teaching the gospel and helping children understand the scriptures. We always attend church on Sunday because it feels right. We enjoy associating with the other members of our church and feeling Heavenly Father's spirit. It helps our week go better. Our family prays together every day, morning and night and that helps us feel closer to Heavenly Father and closer as a family.
