Hi I'm Mike

I'm a construction worker, that lives in Utah. I'm also a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a mormon family, with 3 sisters and 3 brothers, I'm number 2. I am a father of 5 kids, 4 girls and 1 boy. The older 3 are adults, with the younger 2 in their teens. My most favorite things to do in this world, are being with my family. Not only with my wife and kids, But my extended family too. Other things I like to do are outdoor related. Hunting and fishing, camping, hiking, drives up the canyons, etc. It's an extra bonus, doing these with family. I also like to play basketball and golf.

Why I am a Mormon

In my youth, I fell away from this church, I chose a life not in harmony with the gospel. When I got married the first time, I still did not choose to be an active mormon. It was after my divorce, That I started to question my beliefs and wonder if there is something more to this life. With the help of my new wife, I started to investigate this church. With time, I began to know for myself, That this is the Church of Jesus Christ. I have chosen to be an active member ever since.

How I live my faith

I believe that keeping the commandments of our Heavenly Father will bring great joy into our lives. Even though I am not perfect, Not even close to perfect. I try to be the best that I can and do the things that I know I should. I also believe that serving our fellow beings will bring us great joy as well. In this church, We are called to helpout and do thing to further the work along. I have been called to serve in a Young Single Adult ward, I'm a counselor to the Bishop. Our ward has about 250 young single adults (members), All between the ages of 18-30. I love to serve in this calling. I really do find great joy in serving.
