Hi I'm JoDee

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my high school sweetheart 7 years after we started dating:) I am a mother of 2 small children. Being a mother is the hardest yet most fulfilling job I have ever had. I work VERY part time as a Dental Hygienist. I love running and working out and learning how to be the best mommy I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints but have gained a testimony little by little of the truthfulness of the the Book of Mormon and the knowledge that this is His church. For as long as I can remember I have read the Book of Mormon every night. Through my reading I have felt my Heavenly Father talk to me. I have felt the spirit so strongly testify to me that He knows me. He knows my struggles and my fears and he truly cares about whatever I care about. Just the other night my 3 year old and I prayed to Heavenly Father to help us find his favorite blanket. We had been looking for at least 30 minutes prior to praying. A complete melt down was definitely in our future. After getting up from kneeling down with my sweet little boy I had a very clear impression to go look in the pantry, with all the canned food. It had been stuffed between some green beans and corn:) Just as he answered this seemingly insignificant plea of a mother and her child I know He hears and answers anyone who prays with a sincere heart and with faith that the prayer will be answered. During my college years I had to truly decide if I believed everything I had been taught while I was growing up. I prayed and searched the scriptures. Through much struggle and heartache I received my answer. With this answer brought responsibility. I had to choose my faith over everything else. I had to show my Heavenly Father that I knew he answered my prayer and I wanted to do his will above everything else. He has NEVER forgotten me for it. I have felt blessed beyond measure for the sacrifices I made at that time.

How I live my faith

I begin and end each day with prayer and reading my scriptures. I serve in our church by being a den mother to the Cub Scout Webelos den. I have grown to love these boys and love the scouting program. I attend church each Sunday and love to pay my tithing of 10% of all our families income. My Heavenly Father has blessed me with so much and I feel so grateful for the chance to give Him back this very insignificant amount. My faith is the dominant aspect of how I live my life.
