Hi I'm Lynda

I am a convert to the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and a happy wife, mother, and grandmother!

About Me

I am a wife, mother of five children and grandmother of 24 wonderful grandchildren. I am a retired elementary school teacher and have been a homemaker for many years. I have been a volunteer in our local schools, and also, a soccer and baseball coach in our community. I love to walk, play tennis, snow ski and watch my children and grandchildren participate in sports. I love flower gardens with a few vegetables and enjoy spending time with our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because the Holy Spirit bore testimony that the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ had returned to the earth! I am a convert to the church and so grateful to goodly parents who taught me about the bible, God, and Jesus Christ. I was raised and active in the Methodist church, until I was 20 years old and met a nice Mormon boy. I started taking classes at an LDS Institute program to learn just enough about Mormonism, in order to convert this boy to be a Methodist. During this process, I was the one converted and have never looked back and have found much peace, joy , and happiness in my new religious journey. I have a testimony that our Heavenly Father loves each one of us, that He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins and to teach us how to love others and conduct our lives, and blessed our lives with the gift of the Holy Spirit. I am eternally grateful for these tender mercies and many gifts of the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to work with the youth of the church for many years. I have served as a teacher and president of our young women, worked as a president of our youth at the Stake level, girls camp director, seminary teacher and supervisor, music chorister, teacher and leader with our primary age children, and teacher and president in our women's organization. I try to keep the commandments and to follow the example of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I want to live my life, so that I will be acceptable to the Lord and be able to return to live with Him someday and to be with my family forever. I try to read and study the scriptures daily, pray to Heavenly Father, pay my tithes and offerings, be honest and charitable, and treat others with unconditional love. I am so thankful to my Savior, Jesus Christ, for showing us all how to live our faith and our lives.
