Hi I'm Sarah

I'm a nurse, wife, and mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mom, and nurse. I met my sweetheart in a volleyball class in college and we got married in Nauvoo, Illinois. Five years later, our family size has doubled to four. After graduating from nursing school, I worked as a cardiac RN for several years. I am temporarily retired from nursing to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and holidays as a mommy to two precious little boys. When I'm not making pillow caves and Lego towers, I like to read, play the piano, visit with friends and family, and try out new recipes in my own personal test kitchen.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that Jesus Christ is real, that he loves each one of us and cares about our lives. I know that he has made it possible to overcome our sorrows and weaknesses through His Atonement. I know that the purpose of our existence is to have joy, although sometimes we have to experience pain and hardship in order to grow and be able to more fully appreciate the good in our lives. I know that God speaks to us, through a modern day prophet and also through personal revelation that we can receive through prayer and righteous living.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by doing my best every day to live a life that Jesus Christ would approve of. I try to be kind, honest, virtuous, and loving in all that I do. I love my family and children with all my heart and I try every day to be the best mother that I can be. I love to give service and willingly help out in all areas where I am asked or where I recognize a need I can fill. Right now I teach Sunday school to the twelve and thirteen year old youth at our church. I am also leading the choir for our Christmas program this year, to praise and worship Jesus Christ and celebrate his birth. I want to become more involved in the community where I live and I try to be civically minded.
