Hi I'm Tasha

I am a wife and mother. My perfect day would be spent entirely outside with my family. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy watching and playing almost any sport. I love trying new sports and activities. I like the mental and physical challenges experienced during sports training and competition. I also value education and feel a responsibility to spend time tracking current events and participating in community events. I have four children--three boys and one girl. I rely on my Heavenly Father every day to help me be a better mother. I love teaching my children to do the things I love and I love learning their favorite things. My husband and I have been married for 18 years. The best choice I ever made was to marry who I married. We were young, but we have grown and learned together.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into a Mormon family, I still feel I have experienced the process of conversion. I remember feeling spiritual feelings as a child. I remember wanting to tell the truth, wanting to read scriptures, and wanting to hear stories about Jesus. My testimony grows through experiences, study, and prayer. I know I have a Heavenly Father who truly loves me. His love for me is perfect and I don't need to live perfectly to feel it. When I am striving to do what is right and when I am recognizing my mistakes and trying to correct them, I feel His influence in my life. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet. This knowledge came to me over time through study and prayer. I know the Book of Mormon is true scripture that contains principles and direction directly applicable to my challenges and my life. When I read the Book of Mormon consistently, I feel my Heavenly Father's love consistently. My mind is more clear and my heart is more open to direction. I know we have a prophet today. President Monson's counsel comes from the Lord. If we follow the prophet, we are following the Lord. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. I know his Atonement is infinite in its ability to heal, cleanse, and comfort. The Atonement is the most significant blessing in my life. My greatest desire is to see Jesus Christ again and to thank him for his gift. He is the source of all hope. He is my joy and my light.. I know everyone can know what is true. Heavenly Father loves all His children and will answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

To me, living my faith means following the Savior's example. When he was on the earth, he loved and served those around him. I try my best to do the same. I have assignments in the Church that give me opportunities to serve. Specifically, I work with young women ages twelve to eighteen. We have regular activities during the week and lessons on Sundays. We strengthen each other as we study our Savior. We discuss his life and the direction he wants us to take in our lives. We help each other make choices that will keep us happy and strong. I also live my faith by being a mother and a wife. Serving my children and husband brings me closer to them and closer to my Heavenly Father. I live my faith by being hopeful.
