Hi I'm Anne

I grew up in the Midwest and now I live in Texas. I'm a mother of two and a grandmother of three. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked for many years in the financial services industry as an administrative assistant, where I have enjoyed meeting many people. My college degrees are in counseling and education. My greatest joy has been in raising my children, who are now grown and have families of their own. My husband and I love to travel; we have been all over the US and to Europe and Asia. Music is a great love in my life, and I especially enjoy participating in choirs. When I was younger, I lived in New York City and worked part-time in the theatre.

Why I am a Mormon

I learned about the LDS church as an adult, when two missionaries knocked on our door. By that time in my life, I knew there was something missing and I hungered for a spiritual awakening. As I studied with the missionaries, I began to see my questions answered, and everything seemed to make sense. I felt a love and kinship with the Mormons I met, and could feel the warmth of the Spirit. From that beginning many years ago, my faith has grown as I have learned and experienced more. At the time of my conversion, I was a young mother; today I am a grandmother. As we all do in life, I have had joys and sorrows, challenges and peace. In all these times, I have felt the love of my Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. From diligent prayer, study, and service, I have come to know the truth of the gospel and the blessings it brings to lives. From witness by the Holy Spirit, I know the truth of the Book of Mormon and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

I currently serve, and have for the past six years, as the president of the women's organization in our congregation. This has been a challenging but exciting time as I have come to know and share the trials and triumphs of so many women. I have also been a teacher, both of adults and youth, and a mentor in our youth program. These leadership experiences have helped grow my personal skills and confidence, and firm my knowledge and testimony of the Lord. I have worked as an adult leader when my children were in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and I was very active in the athletic booster club when my children were in high school. I also serve other women in my home-based businesses.
