Hi I'm Laurel

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small farming community. I come from a family of 8. I was blessed to have parents who taught me to work hard and to love the Lord, Jesus Christ. I always wanted to have children of my own and spend my life working as a mom. I married my high school sweetheart and we have 2 beautiful boys. He is a chiropractor, and we own our own practice in Gilbert, AZ. Life is very busy but happy!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I was taught the gospel at a young age and developed a love for my Savior. As an adult I have had several challenges that have strengthened that testimony. I have a deep love of the atonement. I love knowing that we lived in a pre-existence and chose to came to earth and that we get to choose how we live in this world. I love knowing that we will be with our families eternally. These concepts have helped keep my challenges in perspective. In the eternal scheme of things, our moments are small...whether wonderful or difficult, we need to treasure moments and grow from trials. Being a Mormon completely shapes my life and my relationships with my friends and family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by seeking opportunities to serve my friends and family. I try my best to always say yes when I am asked to serve in my church assignments. I try to share my testimony with those around me and be an example of what I believe. My husband nd i are always looking for ways we can help those less fortunate. Whether with money or service. People ask how I am so happy, or they ask how I made it through a difficult situation. I explain that it is through my Savior, Jesus Christ, and his love for each of us. I do my best to follow the prophet's counsel and make changes when we are asked. I was canning strawberry jam a few years ago and had ALOT of strawberries in my cart (they were on sale!) and the lady behind me asked if I was Mormon. "I said YES! How did you know?" She said i could just tell because you glow...and because alot of Mormons I know have food storage." I felt grateful to be following the Prophet's counsel.
