Hi I'm John Gillmore

I'm blessed to be a Mormon in the beautiful Pacific Northwest!

About Me

I am blessed to be a Mormon. I am married to a wonderful daughter of God and am a father of 5 wonderful children - 4 boys and 1 girl. Each of my children are providing me with great experiences as they journey through life. I love to garden and work with wood. I love to construct and improve everything I am blessed with. My favorite things to do are spending time with my family, hiking, snow sports, mountain biking and bee keeping. I have a passion for psychology, and the study and improvement of human behavior - both my behavior and making positive contributions to others (if they want my help). I love to study our Heavenly Father's and His son, Jesus Chris' words. It is such a blessing to have such wisdom available to study and integrate into my spirit, and aid me to move with faith, grace and joy through this journey of mortal life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by conversion to the truths of the gospel and of the love of the Savior Jesus Christ. Also, because of the love that my Father in Heaven has shown me through the atonement of His son, Jesus. I am converted to the truths and love of my Savior's gospel. These gospel truths in their fullness are here and I am so blessed to be a member of the Saviors church and receive those truths through the Holy Ghost. My conversion is by answer to prayer and is sustained by the love and faith of all those who have lived and died in the loving service of bringing to pass Heavenly Fathers plan - to bring His children back "home" to His presence to partake of eternal life and exaltation. I am very pleased to be called a Mormon - named after a great and valiant man, Mormon, who gave his life in the service of bringing God's children truths of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ and preparing the Book of Mormon to come to this generation (to me and my family, and you).

How I live my faith

My main demonstration of faith is by service - serving my family, serving the community, and service to God's children everywhere. My heart is fed so much when I serve others.

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

John Gillmore
Heavenly Father wants his children to love one another. The welfare program allows me to serve my brother and sisters who are in need. I have served in welfare store houses stocking shelves for the needy, picking crops from welfare farms to supply those store houses and in donating to the welfare funds to support the needy. When I serve my brothers and sisters, my heart is drawn closer them, and to the Savior, in that, I am contributing to his plan to succor those in need. I love my Savior's "perfect" plan to care for (love) one another!!! Show more Show less
