Hi I'm Chris

I'm a husband and father of three. I'm a security business owner. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and a father of three children - One girl and two boys. One of our sons was diagnosed with Williams Syndrome when he was 10 months. I am a small business owner and a graduate of ASU. Our family enjoys riding motorcycles and quads together. We also enjoy camping and being with our extended families. I also enjoy going snowboarding with friends and brothers in law. My wife and I enjoy watching movies together - old and new - and always make it a priority to ensure we have a weekly date night. She is amazing in so many ways.

Why I am a Mormon

While I grew up in the LDS Church, I still had to be converted. I grew up with friends who were LDS - some who were converted, and some who weren't. It is still a personal choice and I have received my personal answer from Heavenly Father of the reality of the atonement of Jesus Christ and His plan for me here on this earth. I had the opportunity to serve a mission for the LDS Church in the Netherlands and Belgium. This was a wonderful experience to grow in so many areas of my life and wouldn't change it for the world. My relationship with my Heavenly Father and Savior grew so much during that time and the reality of the Lord's love for me as an individual gave me the strength to overcome the challenges I faced, and continue to face, in my life. One of the biggest blessings in my life are my wife and children. I have seen the hand of God in the life of our little family. I have seen the tender mercies we have been blessed with concerning the "challenge" of having a child with special needs. While our whole family grows together with this experience, I sometimes wonder if my son was sent to me specifically, to teach me the true love of Christ. Similar to my wife being in my life. I believe God puts people in our path for a reason.

How I live my faith

While I have had many different opportunities to serve in my local congregation and community, I currently am the Scout Varsity Coach in our local troop. This has been an awesome experience to be with young men and teaching them about their responsibility to God and country. I have had a unique experience to be able to move up with some of my scouts from Boy Scouts to Varsity Scouts. Seeing them grow into young men has been a great journey, especially as they achieve their rank advancement of Eagle Scout. In addition to the Scouting program, I am with the boys during our Sunday Services and have the opportunity with other youth leaders to teach these young men how to develop a relationship with God. I remember that being a teenager wasn't all that easy, and I try to help them to know where they can turn to in times of need as well as times of joy.
