Hi I'm Loyal Brock

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

After finishing my 4 years in the Navy, and graduating from Pharmacy School, I have practiced pharmacy in the Spokane area for 40 years. My wife and I have raised 7 children, and enjoy our 10 grandchildren. We enjoy our home activities and have continued doing the things we did with our children when they were at home. We enjoy our Monday evening family evenings together, Sunday meetings at Church, we enjoy participating in the lay ministry of the Church; we home & visit teach members of the Church, served a mission in Texas for a year, work in the Temple, enjoy doing our family history search for our ancestors, we enjoy our dogs & cats, we enjoy computers, flying small airplanes, fishing, walking, reading history books. I still work part time in a local pharmacy to keep up on my profession. I really enjoy talking and visiting with people. We have had the priveledge of travelling a bit and particularly enjoy cruising vacations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was challenged by two missionarioes to read and pray about the Book of Mormon, particularly the promise in the last chapter which has a promise; the promise is that if I would be sincere in my request to Heavenly Father about the truthfullness of the Book of Mormon that I would receive a witness to myself that it is true. That is exactly what happened to me in 1976, and I ask to be baptized into the Church, and have enjoyed learning gospel truths up to the present day...like the scriptures say line upon line, and precept upon precept, a little here and a little there...I know that God our Heavenly Father lives, and that He loves me & you; I know that Jesus Christ volinteered to come to the earth because He and Heavenly Father loves each of us and wants us to come home to live with them again. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, that Joseph Smith was the instrument in the hand of the Lord that brought that book to us, and that we have living prophets and apostles to help us in life's journey to this day. God lives and hears and answers prayers day by day; we can enjoy the Gift of the Holy Ghost to help us day by day. My life is filled with peace and happiness because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I have learned to love and appreciate my wife and family more as the years pass. I enjoy attending Sunday meetings. I enjoy personal and family prayers morning and evening and meal times, and often over difficulties I encounter . We read the scriptures each day, and try to remember what is taught therein. I'm grateful for the Lord's Prophet, Thomas Monson, and the other Apostles, Seventies, Stake Presidencies, Bishoprics and the Ward Council. It is amazing the blessings I get as my brothers and sisters prepare and teach gospel lessons each Sunday to me for my benefit. I love having the opportunity to participate in the activities of the Church, and most of my time is spent each day trying to become more like Jesus Christ. Saturday mornings my wife and I have the opportunity to fulfil service in the Spokane Temple; this brings great joy to our lives. Our Ward family did a cleanup assignment at the Greenacres Elementary School the weekend before the school term began; we were all blessed because of the service rendered.
