Hi I'm Katie

I live in Arizona. I have been married for four years and have a son who I stay home with. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Katie. I have lived in Arizona all my life. I was married in 2007 in the Mesa, AZ temple. We had our first son in 2010. Before I became a stay at home mom I worked at a Chiropractic office and enjoyed working in the medical field. I recieved my associates degree from Eastern Arizona College in 2007. I love music and spending time with my family. I enjoy cooking and being with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints all my life. My dad is a convert and my mother was raised in the church. I love my family history and how it moldes me into who I am today. I have always had a strong determination to live the gospel. As a child I may not have known specifics but I knew and felt that going to church was the right thing. When I was a teenager the gospel helped me through the tough teenage years. I went to seminary and that strengthened my testimony. I had wonderful friends who were great examples to me all throughout high school. I went on a Joseph Smith Legacy Tour the summer I graduated from high school. I really feel that the experiences there gave me a testimony of the gospel I cannot deny. I knew I had a testimony from other experiences, but going to church historical sites gave me an appreciation for Joseph Smith and the pioneers who sacrifieced so much to live what they knew was true. I have a testimony of Temples that we need to go to the temple regularly. I know families can be together forever and I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know Jesus Christ died for me that I can return to live with Him and my Heavenly Father. Most importantly I know that Heavenly Father loves me. As a mother I have just a small glimpse that He loves me unconditionally and is always there for me and never leaves me. Through prayer I can be closer to Him and know for sure that this is the true church. The Holy Ghost has confirmed this in my heart and I know the Church is True and that Jesus Christ lives.

How I live my faith

I loved growing up in the gospel because it gave me the chance to participate in young womens. Going to girls camp and having the unity I think helps teenagers have an identity. I have tought primary children and played the piano in primary. Even surrounded by little children and having very simple lessons has brought the spirit to my heart and confirmed priciples of the gospel. I have lived in several different wards and stakes and have always known what is being taught is the same. Different people, but the feeling and the teaching are always the same. Always familiar. I have had the chance to give talks, which are somewhat stressful, but I always learn something for myself and I always feel my testimony strengthened and my resolve to be a better person more clear.
