Hi I'm Shelli

I'm an Arizona native. I'm a mother of four. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married to my best friend for 13 years. We have three boys and a girl in heaven. We enjoy camping, hiking and swimming. I have been blessed to be able to stay at home with my boys. As they have now all entered school, I am training to be a dental assistant. I enjoy reading, crafting, redecorating, taking pictures, and going on dates.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the LDS faith. My mom converted from Catholicism at the age of 21. She says that when she listened to the missionaries she finally felt that the world made sense. I was taught to be honest, kind, hard working, generous, and happy. I relied on my parent's faith and direction for many years. As a teenager I sought out to know for myself if what I had been taught was truth. I remember kneeling by my bed after asking in prayer to know if the Book of Mormon was true. A warmth filled my entire being and a thought came to mind, "You already know it is true." I did know it was true and I now know that by following its teachings I can have a complete and happy life. I know that I am a child of God. I know that I lived in heaven and chose to come to this earth. I know that through Jesus Christ I can be forgiven for the things I have done wrong so that I can return to my Heavenly Father again. I know that my family can be together forever and that my little girl who was stillborn will be waiting for me. What a wonderful reunion that will be.

How I live my faith

I have the privilege of working with the full-time missionaries as they teach people about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I have been blessed to witness people realize for the first time that they are children of a Heavenly Father that loves them. When they learn that our ultimate goal in this life is to be worthy to return to live with our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ again, a desire to do and be good overcomes them. What a neat experience it is to watch as they read and study the Book of Mormon and then ask to know if it is true. It strengthens my faith as they receive a witness for themselves.
