Hi I'm Andrew

I am a father of 9 beautiful children, take care of many animals, and enjoy physical exercise. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 9 beautiful children. By day I work as a UNIX system administrator that has at times been allowed to do development and DBA work as well. By choice I ride horses, raise cattle, chickens, cats, dogs, and do anything that requires physical movement. Of course putting around on dirt bikes and ATV is always fun as well. I have been given many opportunities to serve people and mostly have enjoyed rendering that service. I strongly believe in being kind to those that are frequently outcasted in society and believe society is a better place for everyone if all our included. Yes, I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Mormon faith. I have always had a desire to believe and have been nourished and strengthened by my Heavenly Father throughout my life. However, at about 14 years old the adults in my life convinced me that I should acquire my own testimony through the Holy Ghost of the truthfulness of the gospel and Book of Mormon. I started reading the Book of Mormon, a chapter a day. After some time of consistent daily scripture study, during one episode of reading the Book of Mormon, I had a great desire to pray to know the truthfulness of it. I did pray and was immediately overwhelmed with the spirit. I then started to be more aware of the effects of the spirit on my life. I remember one time a fight was pursing between my sister and parents and I had no desire to join in. I just stayed in the other end of the house and peacefully read and pondered my scriptures until the fight subsided. Since that experience I have attempted to read and study the scriptures and teachings of latter-day prophets each day of my life. I have had similar experiences many times and have found that my opinion, knowledge, and understanding of God's love and plan for us has increased through the Holy Ghost's influence. I can now say with great confidence and assurance that Heavenly Father loves each of us and is extremely kind and loving to the sinner and yet still just to the victim of other's sins. I know that Heavenly Fathers ability to be merciful and just comes directly from the atonement of Jesus Christ. I love my Saviour and have attempted to give my life to him including my service, will, and beliefs. I love that though I have attempted to give my life to him that he has never taken advantage of me or others. I know that his plan has the ability to save anyone that chooses to come to Christ. He will save ALL those that choose to be saved, but no one that doesn't choose to be saved. I love freedom. I believe that is freedom.

How I live my faith

The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints has given me many opportunities to share my testimony of Jesus Christ's role as my Saviour and Redemeer by allowing me to testify to people through public speeches and teaching the old men and the youth. I have also had the opportunity to share the gospel while home teaching where I am assigned a family to go to their home each month and spend an hour or so talking and bearing my testimony of Christ. While talking to these families I have at times found ways that I could serve them and have thoroughly enjoyed doing so and the corresponding relationship that was created from the service.
