Hi I'm Marshall.

I'm a Father, Son, Brother, a Police Officer, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the father of 3 wonderful boys, who have grown to be wonderful Men and examples to others. Each have served an honorable or are serving a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. My youngest is serving in Budapest Hungary and growing spiritually each day he is there. My occupation is that of a Police Officer. I've been asked how I keep such a positive outlook on life, when I am surrounded by such negativity. The answer is really simple.... I believe in Christ! This simple belief allows us, as brother's and sister's to view each other in a different light.... You see, when I am dealing with the negativity of the people in my job, somehow I am able to see them in spiritual eyes and in doing so, a great amount of empathy and compassion is found. There are times when people do bad things and need to go to jail but my job as a police officer is also to protect the innocent from going to jail.... As a father and as a police officer, I rely on my Heavenly Father for inspiration in all things... Because I am imperfect and make mistakes, the atonement of Jesus Christ is utilized in my life often.... Alone, I am a natural enemy to God.... With Christ's help, I can become perfected in Him.

Why I am a Mormon

If I am truly a Son of God, then He would never leave me alone. God would provide a Prophet and Apostles. He would provide the gift of the Holy Ghost to help me in my life. Our Father in Heaven loves us as He loved the children of old... And because of this love, He has provided the same "Gospel of Jesus Christ" as in the days of old. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, is that Church upon the earth today. I submit to you..... That the "Mormon" Church is either true or it's completely false.... If you take the challenge found in the Book of Mormon; Moroni 10: 3-5.... You will know it is true by the power of the Holy Ghost! I bear witness to you that if you are searching for the true gospel of Jesus Christ, our Heavenly Father will provide to you answers in a way that will bring peace and happiness to your soul. In the name of Jesus Christ- Amen Moroni 10:3-5 Behold, I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. 4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. 5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

How I live my faith

At times, life is challenging and difficult.... For me, I receive great comfort knowing that I am not alone. I know with all of my heart that my Heavenly Father knows every thought of my mind. He knows my struggles and stresses of life and is always there to pick me up when I struggle and fall..... With that being said....I still work hard in doing my part to make our home a safe haven from the evils of the outside world... I want my children to have a place in their lives where they can be free from the "world"..... I am a work in progress, but with the knowledge that God lives and we are his children, somehow, things are a little bit easier....
