Hi I'm Nikki

I'm a wife, mother of 4, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I grew up playing tennis, basketball, softball and soccer. I loved intramurals in college. I am a mother of 4 and love watching my kids play sports. We try and see a couple games live every year. I love to read in my alone time. I am the bookkeeper for my husbands business and taxi, cook, maid and tutor for my kids. I love it all.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because it fits the lifestyle I like to live. I love to spend time with my family, I love good books and good clean entertainment. I love that my kids are growing up with boundaries that will help to make them amazing people as they grow up. It's not that I want to stand out as someone who is different, but I don't mind that people see me as a little different. I have a peace in my life that I can see others are lacking and I know it is because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in my life. I still have challenges and struggles, but I feel like I can take them in stride because of what I know and what I believe. I'm not lost, and I don't wonder who I am or where I came from or where I am going. It isn't a bunch of rules to follow, it is a lifestyle and for me it is free and easy and the source of all my happiness.

How I live my faith

I used to be the "party planner" for our congregation, and I loved it. I love that we plan events to get together with our families and build friendships and share talents and celebrate the happiness we feel for life. On Sundays I get to teach the 3-4 year olds. What an amazing gift to be with these kids who are so innocent and have a desire to learn and be taught. They are like sponges just wanting to absorb all that they can. They have a love for life and for the simple things that is a great constant reminder to me that in the small things there is so much joy. I love how carefree they are and how simple everything is to them. It helps me to remember that things are only complicated if I make them that way. I have been blessed many times in my life to have a network of women that I call my friends that I can reach out to at anytime and I know they will support me in whatever I need. In the times in life when we have struggled the great women of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have brought in meals, watched my children, cleaned my home, cried with me, held my hand and just been there letting me know I am not forgotten. It is an amazing support system that I could not imagine living without.
