Hi I'm Sam

Music is my passion. I play in a band called "Fat Tree" and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Music! I play guitar and sing in a band called Fat Tree. We are a dedicated group of Latter Day Saints who want to bring good music to as many people as possible. We would love your support! Music can be good and wholesome at the same time! http://www.facebook.com/listentofattree

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, by two good parents with strong testimonies of the church. I was taught well the difference between right and wrong. Did that stop me from making my fair share of wrong choices? Absolutely not. I'm a Mormon because, through the ups and downs, the church has brought a peace to my life that can be found nowhere else. I've felt, seen, and heard things that I just can't deny. It's my desire to return one day to my Heavenly Father and the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides a direct route for me to accomplish my goal. I know that through this plan of salvation that has been placed before us, that we can return to live with our families eternally. The Lord has promised us blessings as we live righteously and in accordance with his teachings, I've seen those blessings in my life time and time again. I'm a Mormon, because I've been given the answers to life's questions, and I believe them to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by giving my best. Realizing that I will fall and make mistakes, but that there's always a way to pick yourself up, dust off, and keep moving forward. I have 2 callings in my ward that I'm extremely grateful for. I serve in the Sunday School Presidency and as a teacher. It's helped me to grow in the gospel, and in my day to day life, in many many ways.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Sam
Prayer! Prayer is a gift that is given to ALL of us. A way for us to personally communicate with our Heavenly Father, our creator. If you have a desire to know the truth, pray with sincerity, an open mind, an open heart, and ask with faith. I've had countless experiences with praying and seen my prayers directly answered. My testimony of the power of prayer is strong. It doesn't matter who you are, what you've done, what you haven't, where you are...you can always pray. Show more Show less
