Hi I'm Lyssa.

I grew up in New Mexico. I married my high school sweetheart. We've been married for 20 years and have 3 kids. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Denver in an old house that is 99 years old. I really love living in the city. I like to read, cook, and travel. I enjoy being a mother and watching my children grow. I have my teaching degree and spend a lot of time volunteering in my kids school.

Why I am a Mormon

My family is the most important thing in the world to me. I love that my faith puts an eternal focus on our family. Being a Mormon brings me peace, stability and happiness. It is a strength to me. It teaches me to have a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven and his son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that prayers are answered. I also love how my church encourages involvement in my neighborhood and community.

How I live my faith

At church I teach the young women ages 12- 18. This is a wonderful time of life for our girls. But it is sometimes fraught with feelings of doubt and insecurity. I'm so glad to be able to help them navigate through their challenges.

Are Mormons Christians?

Lyssa.
We are Christians! Christ is the cornerstone of our religion. We believe in the Bible and use it as part of our holy scriptures. We also believe in the Book of Mormon which tells more about Christ and his teachings. Show more Show less
