Hi I'm Buffy

I am happy to be a wife, mom, and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints along with my family when I was 12 years old. I knew that day that my life would forever be changed! 31 years later, I am now married to my high school sweetheart, who served a mission in Chicago, Illinois. We have four quite amazing children who we have raised in the same mountain town we both grew up in. I love the simple everyday things this life has to offer; changing seasons, keeping a journal, early morning walks, wildflowers, family dinners, turning junk into treasure, baseball games and York Peppermint Pattys!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the good example of friends I had when I was growing up. I knew they were different, and I knew I wanted what they had. Being a Mormon is a way of life for me. I love the basic simple plan of this church. I know that I am a daughter of a loving Heavenly Father and that I have a brother, Jesus Christ who gave his life for mine. I know I am a better wife, mother, and person because I strive each day to live what I believe. Knowing I can be with my family forever is what keeps me going!

How I live my faith

I try each day to live what we are taught. I know that daily prayer, personal as well as family prayer, scripture study and service to others helps me be a better person. I know that happiness does not come from the "things" of this world, it comes when we love and serve those around us, especially family. Living the gospel of Jesus Christ daily brings me peace and happiness. Everyday may not be good, but there is good in everyday. Attending church each week strengthens me and gives me a desire to want to be better. What a blessing it is to be alive!
