Hi I'm Nick

I'm a husband and a dad. I enjoy rock climbing and cycling. I'm a full-time student and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently I'm a full-time doctoral student in clinical psychology. I'm a husband and I'm a father of two great little girls. When I'm not in class I enjoying rock climbing, cycling (although I'm only a beginner) and working out. I love playing with my daughters, watching movies with my wife, and going on family bike rides. When I have a lot of free time I read books, usually fantasy or old classics like The Three Musketeers. I also enjoy playing tennis and rappelling. Basically, I like spending time with family, being active, and having a good time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. When I was fourteen I decided I had to find out for myself if I believed what I had been raised to believe. I had to know if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was true. I read The Book of Mormon and prayed about it and I felt a peace and a joy inside which to me was an answer to prayer. I continue to live the gospel of Jesus Christ and I find that it gives me a long term perspective and it helps me to be optimistic about life and what the future holds for me and my family. I am happy living Jesus' gospel and I know he loves me.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be an example of Jesus Christ and by doing what He asks of me. I try to read the holy scriptures everyday and I pray often. I also visit a few families in my local branch (congregation) each month to share a message about Jesus and to see that their physical and spiritual needs are being met. I teach my girls about the Savior and His love for them and let them know that they can pray to God, our Heavenly Father, for comfort and help as well as to express thanks for our blessings.
