Hi I'm Jens

I am a father of 4, a teacher, and a high school soccer coach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I spend my working life teaching science to 6th grade students and coaching the high school boys and girls soccer teams. In my personal life I enjoy spending time with my wife and 4 children, working on projects in the shop, and doing just about any kind of sporting or outdoor activity that you can think of.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because the Gospel brings peace and comfort to my life and the life of my family. The Gospel teaches us to follow the example and depend on the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ. I know that I have a responsibility to follow the Savior because I have a testimony that he is the Son of God and I have hope that I can be perfected because of what He has done for all of us. In the end, left to my own wisdom and talents, I am a pretty much a jerk and a total idiot, because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ I am tolerable.

How I live my faith

I want to follow the example of Jesus Christ and I rejoice in the teachings of my Savior. I want to be like him and I strive to pattern my life after His. I am far from perfect and I struggle to continue to move in a positive direction, but I have faith that through Jesus Christ I can be made perfect. I serve in the church by sharing the gospel with our friends and family, helping organize the donations members make to the church, visiting and teaching members of our local congregation in their home, and making sure that the computers and networks in out local building are working properly.
