Hi I'm Spencer St.Mars

I am a missionary, a runner, a musician, and friend, an Eagle Scout, a brother, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of six siblings. I am a high school graduate. I am a missionary, currently serving in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission. I love to play my trumpet and euphonium. Music is a great part of my life! I conduct many musical groups at church and school. I am a Varsity Cross Country runner and have went to state for 4 years in a row. I love to go out and play a game of soccer at any time and place. I am a high honor roll student and an Eagle Scout. I love to do just about everything in the outdoors. I love to read many good books. And I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church and my mother and father were converts; the first in each of their families. When I was about 5 years old my family moved to farm life of Athol, Idaho from the big city of Portland, Oregon. My family continued to go to church for about 3 years and then we stopped going. My parents were divorced during the same time that we stopped going to church. Many years went by and it was when I was 11 that we started to come back. I really didn't know that the church was true in my previous years during primary but I knew that it was a place that I liked to be. My real knowledge of the church first started with the scouting program. I had many great leaders that encouraged me throughout my scouting experience. Then, a little while later we started going to church again. I immediately absorbed all of the information taught in my lessons; I started to know for myself that the church was true a little more each day. Then the missionaries started coming by. I love the missionaries. They have always been so great to me and my family. I really liked each of their discussions. Soon after, me and my brother, Sam, were baptized when I was 12 years old by my uncle. Ever since then I've had a firm testimony of the church. There is no doubt in my mind that this is the true church! Being a Mormon is the BEST thing that has ever happened to me! I am a Mormon because my life is better because of it. I now know what my purpose is in life. Christ's church has been restored!!

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many different ways. I go to church every Sunday, attend mutual every Wednesday, and I'm serving a mission to the Lord. As I'm serving a mission, I'm growing as an individual and sharing a beautiful message to the people in the Ohio Cincinnati Mission that Christ loves ALL his children. Being an example and also explaining the questions that my friends have about the church has greatly strengthened my testimony of the gospel. The more I share the gospel, the more I know of its truthfulness. I hope that when people want to know more about the church and what it is like, I hope that they can look at what I am doing towards people around me and how I act in my everyday life. Even though I'm not perfect, I try to be the best that I can be. You must remember that the people of the church are not perfect, but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is perfect; the perfect church. I live my faith by trying to be an example to others, trying to follow Christ's example, and learning as much as I can about the church so that I can share this wonderful blessing with everyone.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Spencer St.Mars
The Holy Ghost can tell you the truth of ALL things! No matter what. All you need to do is to have faith in Christ, even if its just a particle of faith (Alma 32:26-27), and listen to it's still small voice. Blessings can be from what job you should take, what to think about the Book of Mormon, or how you can be a better person. It is definitely a wonderful gift that Heavenly Father has blessed us with, all we need to do is use it :) Show more Show less
