Hi I'm Eugene

I am a small business owner, locksmith, and a father of three boys. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a large family. I have three sisters and ...... seven brothers. I learned much from my family, and the greatest gift my father gave me was teaching me the value of hard work. This has helped me to support my family later in life. I am the owner of a small locksmith shop. So, of course, I collect keys. At one time, I had several hundred of them nailed to the wall in the garage as well as our house key so I could get in when we locked ourselves out of the house. I serve in our local Boy Scout group. I am an Eagle Scout and enjoyed scouting as a youth. But, as an adult, I have enjoyed scouting much more. I have participated in river rafting trips, weeklong camps, and hiked to some of God's greatest hidden beauties.

Why I am a Mormon

I enjoy my membership in the The Church of Jesus Christ because of the safety it gives me. By living the gospel of Christ, I have avoided many pitfalls in life and enjoyed the blessing of good living. I have not been spared all of the difficulties of life, but the gospel has helped me through them. For example, when I broke my kneecap, the pain was untolerable, or so I thought. While going through this pain, I thought of Jesus and what he suffered for me personally. This helped me to endure the pain and come closer to Christ and His love for me.

How I live my faith

I serve and help the youth in my community. I have helped coach the chess club at the local mid-school. I have led many scout groups and help put on many events for them. I sponsor games at the town's Easter egg hunt. This service to young people helps me to stay young and enjoy life.
