Hi I'm Emily

I am from a large family of eight siblings, and an aunt to three adorable kids and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have just completed my first year of college. I enjoy photography, photo editing, and crafts, and competing in various sports activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been raised in an active LDS home from the time I was born. The gospel has helped me so much in my life by helping me realize who I am and how I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again. In life when everything seems to be crashing in, I always know that I can turn to Heavenly Father in prayer and he will be there to listen to me and help me through my problems. I know that Heavenly Father wants each of us to be happy and that is why we have commandments and a living prophet to teach us how to be more like Christ. I have a testimony that Thomas S. Monson is the true prophet today who was called of God to lead and guide us. I know that I am a daughter of God who loves me and has given me the opportunity to come to earth to be tested. He has provided a way for me to return to live with him again, if I so choose, through the loving atonement of his son, Jesus Christ. I know that through Christ I will be able to once again be united with my friends and family that have gone from this earth. I know that there is life after death. Heavenly Father has a plan for each and everyone of us. He will always be there for you in your times of struggle and joy . All you must do is knock, and he will answer the door and let you in.

How I live my faith

I am thankful for the opportunity I have to be able to help teach the nursery children each week on Sunday. As I prepare my lessons each week I am able to gain a stronger understanding of the love that our Heavenly Father has for us. While I work with the children it is through their innocence and love I can see the pure love of Christ. On earth as humans we are not perfect, we all make mistakes, but Christ taught that we should humble ourselves and strive to become like little children, for of such is the kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 18:1-5, Matthew 19:14)
