Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 36 years. We have 7 children, 5 boys and 2 girls. I have been busy raising my family and helping my husband run his contracting business. I love to travel and I love to do genealogy work. All of my children are raised and 6 or the 7 are married. I have 16 grandchildren and 2 on the way. My youngest son is currently serving a mission for the church in the state of Washington.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first because I was raised in the church. My mother was born in the church, but my father was not a member. When I was in 6th grade my father joined the church after 17 years of marriage. I am a Mormon now because of my deep testimony that this is where God wants me to be. I know that God restored His church to this earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that all churches have truth and are good, but I know that they are missing some of the ordinances and teachings that are necessary for us to return to God. God has restored all truth to the earth and it exists in the Mormon church. I know these things because God has born witness to me that they are true.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my church community. I am currently teaching a religion class to Seniors in our area. They come before school starts at 6:00 in the morning and we stud the Old Testament this year. I also visit three of the women that go to my church on a regular basis to make sure that they are ok and I share a spiritual message with them. The church is organized so that we all take care of each other, both temporally and spiritually. I have gained great friends by visiting with them each month.
