Hi I'm Victoria

I grew up in the shadow of a temple. I am a mother and a grandmother. I have found peace in my life through faith in Christ.

About Me

It's great to be alive. I love the outdoors. Discovering new places and experiences by hiking and exploring gives me a great appreciation for this beautiful world. I enjoy gardening, quilting, fishing, speaking in public, music and working with Young Church Service Missionaries. One of my greatest joys comes from being a grandma. Among the treasures of my life, my husband, children, and grandchildren are the ones I value the most.

Why I am a Mormon

My belief in and reliance upon my Savior, Jesus Christ, is at the core of who I am. I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, provides me with not only guidance and direction, but it is the foundational anchor that propels me forward in life with a bright shining hope and with enthusiasm for what lies ahead in this life and in the life to come. Through faith I can live without fear. I can sincerely say, "I believe in Christ, so come what may. He has blessed me with His love and His Spirit, and with Him all things are possible."

How I live my faith

Personal faith is a sacred thing. As I continue to grow in understanding about my relationship with Heavenly Father, I feel His presence in my life through the scriptures, the light I see in others, my family, and the the tribulations I have passed through. The Bible and Book of Mormon have brought me peace in trial, joy in enlightenment, and encouragement in growth. Through genuine charity shown to me by others in times of sadness and helplessness, I am convinced of the overall goodness of humanity. Family closeness is one of my greatest joys. Nothing brings me as much consistent, pure happiness than my relationships with my husband, my children, and grandchildren. Learning about and finding my ancestors is a refining privilege that connects me to heaven. At the heart of peace in tribulation is my Savior, Jesus Christ. He watches over, protects, and comforts me as I navigate through difficult times during this mortal existence. Overall, my life is utterly amazing through eyes of faith.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

I believe that grace is the enabling power of Jesus Christ that is made available to everyone on earth through the gift of His infinite atonement. This enabling power, or grace, is sufficient to strengthen us as we try to follow the example of our Savior. It is sufficient to cleanse us of sins and transgressions that we may make during our earthly experience. Christ's enabling power is sufficient to heal and comfort us as we experience heartache, frustration, sorrow, and pain as part of our mortal life. It is through the atonement of Christ that we are enabled to live joyously in this life and live eternally in happiness and the love of God. I have felt this enabling power in my life and I testify that it is the greatest gift given to mankind. Show more Show less
