Hi I'm Tim

I am husband, a father, a gardener, a people watcher and a lover of life. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I had a loving mother and father and six siblings. I attended grade school, junior high and high school while living in the same house. After high school, I attended Brigham Young University for one year, and then served mission for two years representing the church. After returning from South America, I continued my studies at BYU, was married my sweet wife Sherry during junior year and graduated with Bachelor of Science degree. I remember the first 19 years of my life fondly, but I never could have imagined how wonderful it would be to serve as missionary in the beautiful countries of Argentina and Bolivia. I never dreamed that I could come to love others from such far away places as I loved those people, and felt so loved by th Iem. I learned that there are good people everywhere that want to be happy and share the same desires to know God that I do. I enjoy gardening, sports, woodworking, church serve and being with family. I speak fluent Spanish, and love my association with Latin people. My wife and I have 6 children and currently 19 grand children. Life has been busy and happy. We have had our share of blessings and disappointments, but as we followed the example of Jesus Christ, we have felt his guiding hand.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have watched those who are members, and have seen the goodness in them and wanted to be like them. I am a Mormon because I have studied and pondered the doctrines and teachings and felt the hand of God in my life as I have tried to follow them. I am a Mormon read Christ’s teachings in the Bible and Book of Mormon and other teachings of the prophets and asked God in prayer if they were true, and received a confirming answer. I am a Mormon because I have felt the love of God in my life and his love for all people.

How I live my faith

God’s mandate in the book of Matthew: “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your father which is in heaven is perfect”. I strive to follow that mandate, but fall very short. God, as my loving Father, forgives me as I sincerely seek his forgiveness through repentance. I also know that God forgives all men as they seek his forgiveness. My faith is that we are all God’s children and he loves us all. My faith is that he wants us all to return to him, and as God has taught, I want in some small way to help another who is on his way.
